One Song At a Time:.. Rob Sheffield
This story was about a young kid who wants to be part of the in crowd but at the same time loves music. So when he signs up to be the Dj for his school dance he plays great music, to him. He does play great music but he does not play dance able music. So at one point when he his pulled aside and told to play Rolling Stones', Girls, he sees that the his music and music that is genuinely good is not for a dance. When he later tells his dad and his dad says that "girls go to dances to meet guys, not listen to music." Sheffield replies with that nieve and child mind of "shows how much he [dad] knows."
Thoughts and What I Learned
Well something like this is relate able because everyone wants to be hip. And also know and days everyones lives are runned by music and creating a play list that shows and represents them. This also helps me of creating the video because it gives me the idea of really focusing on music for an emotional back drop and on how to tell mine. The big help came as the POV of telling it from first person but talking about the past and fading sometimes back into the present for commentary.
